Bendito
K9 Therapy Dog| Psychological Service Animal | Embasador of Stoke
@Ay_Bendito
Found curled up under a car in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico at just five weeks old, Bendito has come a long way—from a tiny street pup to a certified Psychological Service Dog and vital member of the Sojourn team. Her name, “Bendito,” means “blessed” in Spanish, and it couldn’t be more fitting. Since joining the Sojourn family, she’s made it her mission to help clients and teams reconnect to what matters most: laughter, presence, and the healing power of companionship.
🐶 Skills & Style
Trained in obedience and compassion alike, Bendito’s soft mouth and gentle spirit allow her to meet people right where they are—whether they need a nudge toward play or a moment of stillness. She instinctively comforts those in distress and often co-regulates anxious energy by initiating play, leaning in for a cuddle, or simply offering her goofy grin. She's especially skilled at reading body language, adjusting her presence between high-energy encouragement and calm, grounding contact.
Favorite Commands:

Personality Snapshot
Playful. Intelligent. Empathetic. Boundaried. Loyal. Bendito is equal parts professional companion and unfiltered joy. She's a steady presence in group work, a soulful eye-locker in one-on-one moments, and a four-legged reminder that healing doesn’t always have to be so serious.
